Hilton opened its second Conrad hotel in Florida, the 433-room Conrad Orlando, last week. The new hotel is the Conrad brand’s first property in the Orlando market.
The hotel sits within Evermore Orlando Resort, a newly opened 1,100-acre property near the area’s popular theme parks. The self-described “luxury vacation destination” opened this month, and offers flats, villas, houses and a golf course designed by golfer Jack Nicklaus. Conrad Orlando is the resort’s anchor hotel.
“Florida and particularly Orlando have long been a priority market for Hilton’s growth in the U.S.,” said Danny Hughes, Hilton’s president, Americas, in a statement, adding that “[t]he arrival of Conrad Orlando reinforces our commitment to meet the ever-evolving needs of today’s traveler.”
Dino Michael, SVP and global head of Hilton Luxury Brands, called the opening “a milestone for the Conrad brand as we continue our momentum of North American growth to a new key travel market.”
The hotel aims to capture leisure travelers and groups, at a time when group travel demand is ramping up. Conrad Orland features more than 65,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meetings and events space, including two ballrooms. Guests can also access additional event space in the surrounding Evermore Orlando Resort, including a boathouse by the lagoon.
International architecture firm HKS and Chicago-based interior design firm Anderson/Miller designed the hotel, which abuts a 500-acre nature preserve.
Conrad Orlando features an 8-acre pool and lagoon complex. Of the hotel’s 433 rooms, 61 are suites with added amenities, such as standalone soak tubs and outdoor living space. The hotel also offers family suites, which include a full living room, and poolside suites. Premium suites include kitchen and dining areas, while presidential suites offer unobstructed views of theme park fireworks.
Guests can dine on-site at the Polynesian-inspired Papaya Club, café Little Spoon, Mexican restaurant Ceiba, lobby bar Apéro and Southern Italian restaurant Sophia’s Trattoria.
