Dallas-based lifestyle hospitality management company Coury Hospitality promoted Chief Operating Officer Andrew Casperson to president.
Casperson moves up the C-suite ladder after holding the COO role for roughly a year, the management company detailed in a release obtained by Hotel Dive. He first joined Coury in June 2023 as executive vice president and was appointed COO in January 2024, according to his LinkedIn profile. Casperson previously held leadership positions at hospitality management companies including Aimbridge Hospitality and Highgate.
At Coury, Casperson’s leadership was “instrumental in fostering innovation to deliver guests exceptional experiences in culinary, entertainment and overall operational excellence,” according to the company.
“As we expand into new markets, [Casperson’s] visionary approach and innovative strategies will be the driving force behind our continued success,” CEO Paul Coury said in a statement.
As president, Casperson is tasked with driving Coury Hospitality’s strategic growth, particularly in the burgeoning lifestyle segment, the company detailed in the release. Coury’s portfolio of hotels currently encompasses nearly 20 properties under Marriott’s Autograph Collection and Tribute Portfolio, Curio and Tapestry Collections by Hilton as well as other brands.
In July, Coury Holdings launched Concert Hospitality, a hospitality management company designed to work with full- and select-service hotels under core brands. At the time of the launch, Paul Coury said the venture would allow parent company Coury Holdings to manage a “more diverse range of investments.”
Casperson’s appointment comes amid “an era where lifestyle hotels are revolutionizing the travel landscape,” according to Coury. Hospitality management firms Highgate and Raines are also targeting the lifestyle segment for growth.
