Crescent Hotels & Resorts named Elie Khoury chief operating officer, the Fairfax, Virginia-based hospitality management company announced Tuesday.

Khoury joins Crescent from Dallas-based Preston Hollow Community Capital, where he was a managing director and head of hotel assets, according to his LinkedIn. Prior to that, he was managing director at Murphy Asset Management and Consulting and an executive vice president of hotel operations at Aimbridge Hospitality.
While at Aimbridge, Khoury oversaw operations across North American and international markets, specializing in brand relations, guest experience and executive leadership development, per Crescent.
Khoury also held executive roles at Interstate Hotels & Resorts — including executive vice president of operations resources — where he worked for eight years. Interstate merged with Aimbridge in 2019.
At Interstate, Khoury collaborated with many of Crescent’s current leaders as he oversaw “increasingly complex hotels across various states and brands,” according to Crescent.
Earlier in his career, Khoury held multiple general manager roles at hotels across the U.S., according to LinkedIn.
Outside of his current role, Khoury is chairman of the board of the Texas Hotel & Lodging Association, the largest state hotel association in the U.S., and a hospitality board member at California State University, East Bay.
In August, Crescent appointed Vanessa Claspill to the chief commercial officer role.
Crescent has more than 120 properties in its management portfolio in the U.S. and Canada, including upper upscale and luxury hotels under Marriott International, Hilton and Hyatt Hotels brands. In December, the company announced that it had added The St. Anthony, a Luxury Collection Hotel in San Antonio to its management portfolio.
