Hotel management, investment and development company Highgate has appointed Mike Uwe Dickersbach to the newly created role of chief digital officer, the company announced Tuesday.
Dickersbach rejoins Highgate after several years of working in leadership positions at HEI Hotels & Resorts, RipplePoint and most recently, Infor. As vice president of global hospitality services at Infor, he oversaw a global team of more than 100 people and implemented strategic software changes to drive services revenue, increase margins and reduce delivery times. Dickersbach previously served as Highgate’s chief technology officer from 2015-2017.
“After almost a decade, I am honored to return to Highgate, a company that understands the importance of having IT as a core component of its broader strategic vision,” Dickersbach said in the announcement.
As chief digital officer, Dickersbach is expected to identify and implement technologies to position Highgate as a best-in-class hospitality leader for its associates, guests and partners, the company said. His role will entail building strategic initiatives to enhance guest experiences through technology and intelligence.
“Welcoming Mike back to Highgate to lead our IT innovation strategy will ensure that we continue to integrate the most cutting-edge technologies into our organization and extend these efficiencies and opportunities to our partners,” Arash Azarbarzin, CEO at Highgate, said in the announcement.
Dickersbach’s appointment comes weeks after Highgate named Matt Greene executive vice president of luxury residences, another newly created role. The company also recently appointed Elizabeth Redmond to chief accounting officer.
