Hotel management company Remington Hospitality has appointed Joseph Klam as its chief financial officer, the company announced this week.
Klam joins Remington from Highgate Hospitality where he served as chief accounting officer and was responsible for overseeing domestic and international financial operations for over 550 hotels. He also held senior leadership roles in finance for companies such as Hersha Hospitality Management, Interstate Hotels and Resorts and Millennium Hotels and Resorts.
"Having previously worked with Joseph at Interstate Hotels & Resorts, he brings extensive expertise and a proven track record to guide and optimize the financial strategy of Remington,” said Remington Hospitality CEO Sloan Dean in the announcement. “With his leadership, we will continue to strengthen our financial objectives while delivering exceptional experiences to our valued guests."
In the CFO position, Klam will lead efforts from the company's corporate offices in Dallas and oversee financial planning, accounting and global financial operations. He is tasked with implementing financial strategies that aim to optimize resource allocation and enhance the overall financial health of the organization.
"I look forward to strategizing ways to improve the efficiency of our processes and playing an integral role in working closely with the management team to expand the focus on our owners, customers and associates by providing timely and accurate financials," Klam said in a statement.
Recently, Remington Hospitality, which manages 130 hotels across more than 20 brands, rebranded from its original moniker, Remington Hotels, in a nod to its future direction. The rename is intended to reflect the company’s growth in segments outside of traditional lodging, such as wellness, experiential travel and food- and beverage-forward resorts.
