Dive Brief:
- KSL Resorts has rebranded to Peregrine Hospitality, the Denver-based company announced Tuesday in a release obtained by Hotel Dive.
- Peregrine’s portfolio currently includes 92 properties across the U.S., Fiji, the Maldives, Mauritius and Thailand. The properties include resorts and boutique hotels, as well as select-service properties owned by Mission Hill Hospitality, which KSL Capital Partners launched in 2021.
- The rebrand is intended to allow the company “to expand our platform and we plan to grow across all asset classes in the hospitality sector,” CEO Greg Kennealey told Hotel Dive.
Dive Insight:
Greg Kennealey will continue as the company’s CEO. Peregrine’s executive team comprises CFO Tom Barber, Chief Human Resources Officer Ed Eynon, Chief Legal Officer Catherine Hance, Chief Operating Officer Pete Sams and Managing Director and Head of Acquisitions Mike Wilbert.
Kennealey said the rebranded company will continue to follow “an owner/operator approach and philosophy” that KSL Resorts was known for, as well as offer “a complete range of services” including hotel management, development and project management and global sales support.
The rebranded firm’s structure is designed to leverage its expertise in hospitality management, development and acquisitions to “lead investments and manage hotel and resort properties throughout the U.S. and in key global markets,” according to the release.
Peregrine also plans to streamline and optimize its technology and processes across its portfolio, Kennealey added. “We are poised for growth,” he said.
KSL Resorts was founded in 1992. The firm named Kennealey CEO in April 2024. Kennealey previously served as principal and head of hospitality at KSL Capital Partners and CEO of Mission Hill Hospitality.
