Arizona’s forthcoming luxury resort revealed key opening details this week.
The 141-room Global Ambassador hotel will open in November of this year, and will feature five dining options as well as a private restaurant in its members-only Global Ambassador Club.
The resort is the brainchild of well-known restaurateur Sam Fox, for whom Global Ambassador will be his first hotel project.
Fox, a 12-time James Beard Award nominee, is opening the hotel under his company Author & Edit Hospitality. He will serve as the resort’s owner, operator and manager, the Global Ambassador said in a release obtained by Hotel Dive.
The hotel’s five restaurants — which Fox describes as “gathering places, not only for travelers and hotel guests, but for locals who have been instrumental in our success” — are inspired by Fox’s travels.
The concepts include Le Âme, a Parisian-style steakhouse; Le Market, a Parisian patisserie; Latin American restaurant Pink Dolphin; a lobby bar; and a rooftop Mediterranean restaurant called théa that offers views of Camelback Mountain.
In addition to a wellness center with fitness and spa offerings, the Global Ambassador will also feature a members-only club with exclusive amenities and a private restaurant for VIPs. The hotel claims the concept is a first of its kind in Arizona.
According to Travel + Leisure, celebrities including country star Dierks Bentley, basketballer Devin Booker and retired NFL player Larry Fitzgerald are all investors in the Global Ambassador.
