Remington Hospitality CEO Sloan Dean will depart the hotel management company.
Dean — who has held the chief executive role since 2019, per his LinkedIn — will exit Remington, which is in the process of finding his successor, the company confirmed to Hotel Dive Wednesday.
“As we embark on the search for our next CEO, we remain committed to the principles that have driven our growth and confident in the path ahead,” a Remington spokesperson told Hotel Dive in a statement.
Under Dean’s leadership, Remington “transformed into a values-driven organization and a leading force in third-party hotel management,” the company stated, adding that Dean’s “focus on people, performance and purpose helped shape a culture where passionate people thrive — a legacy that will remain the foundation of who we are.” Dean oversaw the company’s 2023 rebrand to Remington Hospitality.
Dean joined Dallas-based Remington in 2018, holding the position of chief operating officer before assuming his current role, according to LinkedIn. Prior to Remington, he held leadership titles at Ashford Hospitality Trust, Interstate Hotels & Resorts, Alliance Hospitality, Noble Investment Group, IHG Hotels & Resorts and Oliver Wyman.
Dean will remain in his CEO role until a successor is hired, Hotel Investment Today reported Wednesday.
Remington Hospitality ranked above the benchmark average for guest satisfaction in J.D. Power’s 2024 North America Third-Party Hotel Management Guest Satisfaction Benchmark.
