The Ritz-Carlton Naples will reopen July 6 after an extensive expansion, the company announced Tuesday.
The newly updated resort will feature 60 additional suites, bringing the total number of guest rooms to 474. All rooms will sport a design upgrade meant to convey “casual elegance,” and the new suites include Royal Suites, which feature three bedrooms and bathrooms for groups and families.
The resort will also include a new tower, called the Vanderbilt Tower, offering views of the Gulf of Mexico. The structure contains a Club Lounge with a full-service bar and media room, and the space will offer daily programming and culinary presentations.
Renovations began in 2021. This summer, the resort plans on welcoming back most staffers who had stopped working during its closure.
The company estimates 80% of staffers — or in Ritz-Carlton parlance, Ladies and Gentlemen — will return, and 95% of the management team will stay as well. The company also plans on hiring an additional 300 hourly staffers across its two Naples hotels.
The revamp includes the introduction of three new food-and-beverage concepts: an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant, a coffee bar and another eatery that has yet to be announced. The resort has also reconfigured its outdoor space, adding 10 air-conditioned bungalows alongside the hotel’s three pools and hot tub.
"Our goal was to create an even more exceptional guest experience, and we are confident that our new additions will exceed expectations,” Ritz-Carlton Area General Manager Mark Ferland said in a statement.
The added suites are intended to cater to more group travelers and families seeking extended stays.
