Hilton will open the newly built Signia by Hilton hotel in Atlanta in March 2024. It will be the largest ground-up development in downtown Atlanta in 40 years, according to a release.
The hotel will include 976 rooms and direct access via a pedestrian walkway to the hotel’s owner, the Georgia World Congress Center. It is also located near the Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena.
Built on the foundation of the Georgia Dome — the city’s former NFL stadium, which was demolished and replaced by the neighboring Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2017 — the hotel will be the tallest building on the city’s west side when completed, at 453 feet.
The hotel will feature six food-and-beverage concepts that “will pay homage to the destination,” said Teri Agosta, Signia by Hilton Atlanta’s general manager, in a release. These include an all-day dining restaurant serving Southern cuisine and a pool bar serving Southern picnic favorites.
Signia by Hilton Atlanta will also feature a spa, a salon and a fitness center with yoga stations and Peloton bikes. And it will specialize in hosting events in its ballroom, the largest hotel ballroom in the state of Georgia at 7,888 square feet, per the hotel’s website.
The Atlanta location is the Signia brand’s first ground-up build. The first Signia by Hilton hotel opened in 2021, when the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek became part of the Signia brand, a portfolio of upper upscale hotels in urban and resort destinations.
