Dive Insight:
Located in what Hilton calls “one of the United States’ highly acclaimed convention cities,” the Signia by Hilton Indianapolis will stand 40 stories, claiming the title of the city’s tallest hotel. The property is adjacent to the city’s convention center and will provide direct access to it via a skywalk.
The hotel, part of Indianapolis’ $710 million convention center expansion, will feature amenities like a club lounge, spa and fitness center. Guests will have access to seven on-site dining concepts, including a speakeasy bar, sky bar and chef-driven restaurant. The property will also offer 90,000 square feet of meetings and events space, with a 50,000-square-foot ballroom.
These amenities, coupled with the property’s “vibrant atmosphere and personalized service,” will position Signia by Hilton Indianapolis to “further enhance the city's reputation as one of the premiere destinations in the United States for sophisticated business, leisure, and group travelers,” Teddy Berlin, brand leader for Signia by Hilton, said in a statement.
Andy Mallon, executive director, Capital Improvement Board, expressed similar sentiments, highlighting the significance of Signia by Hilton’s involvement. “Having Hilton signed on to manage the property is the pivotal addition that will take us to the next level of the events industry,” he said in a statement.
The hotel is the latest Signia project announced by Hilton. The company is also underway on a Signia project in Atlanta, a market experiencing a resurgence of business travel. The 976-key Signia by Hilton Atlanta will similarly be the city’s tallest hotel upon completion and have direct access to a meetings and events venue via a pedestrian walkway.
