Chattanooga, Tennessee-based hotel developer and operator Vision Hospitality Group appointed Mary Beth Cutshall as chief growth officer, according to a Monday release.
Cutshall will bring 35 years of hospitality experience across sales, marketing, acquisitions and business growth to the newly created role, according to Vision Hospitality Group CEO Mitch Patel.
Most recently, Cutshall served as managing partner and founder of Amara Capital Group, a consultancy and investment firm focused on hospitality and multifamily real estate properties throughout the U.S. and Europe, per Vision Hospitality Group.
Cutshall also previously held multiple corporate leadership positions at Hospitality Ventures Management Group, including chief development officer, under which she led the company’s expansion efforts across acquisitions, new development and third-party management relationships, the release detailed.
Additionally, she was corporate director of business development for Hotel Equities and held sales and marketing positions with Hotel Investors Trust and Marriott International, according to the release.
With experience across “all levels of the industry, from property-level sales to C-suite positions with major hotel management companies,” Cutshall has garnered “invaluable industry insights and meaningful relationships with brands, owners, operators and virtually any other hotel stakeholder,” Patel said, adding that her expertise will help “lead Vision’s growth into new markets and segments with new partners.”
“In this role, I’ll be leading investment initiatives, overseeing acquisitions and dispositions, and forging key partnerships to enhance our portfolio and market position,” Cutshall said in a Monday LinkedIn post. “With a commitment to excellence and innovation, VHG is poised for remarkable growth — and I am thrilled to be a part of it.”
Currently, Vision Hospitality Group has a portfolio encompassing more than 40 hotels under brands by Hilton, Marriott and Hyatt Hotels.
Earlier this month, Hyatt also named a new chief growth officer.
